I was trying to figure out how to title this post, simply because the trilogy I'm about to tell you about is unlike anything I've ever read. (read more)
When I picked up Warprize by Elizabeth Vaughan, I wasn't really sure what to expect. The premise seemed a lot like other books I'd read, but something about the idea of the heroine being a prize won by a raiding clan...well, that was new.
What's more was that when I got into the book, what could have been a delicate flower of a heroine turned out to be a force to be reckoned with. Yes, she may have come to the clan reluctantly, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to demand respect. After all, she is a princess. This is, hands down, one of the best series I've ever read, and read, and read, and read. The closest I can come to describing this series to you would be to say, "Imagine if Sansa was kidnapped by the Wildlings." Yeah, basically! Welcome to Warprize! BOOK 1 - WARPRIZE

When you look online, you might notice there is a book four, etc.
She did write a few more books after the initial trilogy that follow some of the characters in the first three books. That said, I read the books for Keir and Lara, so if you're looking for an epic love story, those three books might be all you need. Really, this is such a fantastic series, and I feel like people don't know about it because it doesn't really fit into any of the broad romantic genres. That's what makes it great! Ty
