Update - Walt Life has gone offline with their affiliates (like me), so some of these links may not work. If you want to check them out, please go directly to www.waltlife.com I love Disney, it's true. It's so clean, friendly, and happy that I just love going to the parks and immersing myself in the Disney Bubble. As an adult, this might be weird, but for me, it ranks among my perfect vacation places, for which I have only three criteria. (read more) TY'S VACATION CRITERIA:
1. I don't have to drive anywhere.
2. I don't have to cook. 3. I don't have to clean. That's it! I'm a simple being. After all, we know that "vacationing" with your kids is really just parenting in a different location, so anything less I have to do is great! But, we can't all go to Disney, and even if we could, I personally can't swing it more than once a year, twice if I'm REALLY lucky. So, when I found Walt Life and heard about the magic monthly box Disney fans might enjoy, I had to try it out, absolutely. Also, before I go further, don't let me forget to tell you about Get Away Today. For the best prices on Disney packages, hotels, or even single tickets, Get Away Today has got you covered. Walt Life is a Disney subscription box or a one time box, you can do both, but what we're going to focus on in this post is the Walt Life box that is monthly and recurring, sort of like Universal Yums.
I will for sure talk about the Walt Life one time box, just in case you want to go that route. The first thing you need to know is that Walt Life is not associated "officially" with Disney. Yes, everything you get is official Disney merchandise, but this is a box offered by people who are huge fans, and who get to the parks on a regular basis. They buy the product, package it, and ship it to people like me, people who live in Texas, but still want to eat Disney snacks once in awhile. Now you know what Walt Life is. Let's talk about the different Walt Life Disney boxes! If you want to skip to the good part, we definitely did an unboxing, so check it out in that video right....down...there. WALT LIFE MAGIC BOXWALT LIFE CLASSIC BOXWALT LIFE SNACK BOX REVIEW
Walt Life promises "5+" snack items from Disney each month. This month, I got six items total:
A large bag of chocolate covered caramel popcorn A Mickey shaped lollipop Dark chocolate and key lime truffles Chocolate dipped coconut patties Chip N Dale pretzels Goofy sour gummy candies Each was a good size snack, so rest assured you're not going to get anything trial sized. If you've ever had the Disney Dining Plan, I would think most of these snacks would be around the size of things you'd get with a snack credit. I do not think all of the snacks I got are actually on the DDP, though. So, the selection is somewhat more refined in a few cases, like the truffles and the coconut patties. I hid the chocolate covered coconut patties and the key lime truffles, but I let my kids have the other things. They were devoured within an hour, so watch out for that. Next month I'll practice moderation, letting them have a bit each night, just like we do with Universal Yums. The snacks were packaged very well, with lots of shredded paper padding so there wasn't any room for the snacks to shake around and get broken. Also, nothing came melted, which is shocking because it was over 80 degrees here today, so melted candy was a concern. The packaging was not refrigerated, so I reserve the right to worry about melted chocolate in June. :) That said, maybe the purveyors of the Walt Life subscription box choose non chocolate products in the hotter months, we'll see! The box itself looks like a treasure chest. It was immediately snapped up by my eight year old to go hide "stuff" in. He did remove the interior of the box and give it back to me once he realized it was an insert that had some games printed on the backside. So, it's not just snacks, it's also a bit of fun for you and the kids (or just you, I'm not judging). The back of the insert in our box was tic tac toe, and that game where you connect the lines and write your initials in the box each time you close four sides together. I have no idea what the game is called. When we were growing up, it was the "dot and line" game. We're sophisticated like that. Oh, turns out the name of the game is on the insert. Dots and Boxes! All in all, I'm very happy with the product, and I look forward to my next unboxing! UNIVERSAL YUMS DELIVERS SNACKS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD WALT LIFE SHIPPING COSTS
All of the Walt Life Disney subscription boxes have free shipping within the USA, with the exception of the Walt Life Classic box, and the Walt Life Snack Box.
Both of these boxes have an additional $10 shipping, even with the monthly subscription, so be sure to factor that into your monthly cost. You can get a Walt Life one time box with ANY of the Walt Life subscription boxes, but note that you will not get free USA shipping, so your cost will be an additional $10 on top of the cost of the subscription box price. You do have the ability to skip a month with any of the subscription boxes by simply going into your account and choosing "Skip Next Renewal" under "Your Subscriptions". So, if you're just not feeling Disney snacks one month, skip it, no big deal. TEN THINGS YOU NEED TO PACK FOR YOUR NEXT DISNEY TRIP WALT LIFE REVIEWS
Before I decided to order my Walt Life Snack Box, I went in and googled "Walt Life Box Reviews". What I found was that, without fail, every single reviewer that had an issue also had a response from Walt Life addressing the problem, whatever it was.
Seeing the Walt Life customer service team so involved with their clients made me feel comfortable ordering with the knowledge that, should I have a problem, Walt Life is going to be there to take care of it. There isn't a Walt Life customer service number listed on the site, but you can email them at [email protected] or use the chat feature on the website in the bottom, right hand corner. HOW TO CANCEL WALT LIFE SUBSCRIPTION
Aside from googling Walt Life reviews, I also googled "How to cancel Walt Life subscription" since there isn't a cancellation button in your account.
You just need to email Walt Life, again at [email protected] and they will walk you through it. It is important to note that, after your first box (which ships a couple of days after you order it), you will be placed on the subscription shipping rotation, which is the 11th of each month. If you want to cancel, you need to do it by the FIRST of the month in order to make sure your cancellation is received in time.
