Have you ever read a book that you loved SO much it made you wish you could forget you read it so you could read it fresh all over again? (read more)

That is how I feel about the series I'm about to list below. These are three of my FAVORITE paranormal romance series by authors that never fail to disappoint.

Let's get started!

KRESLEY COLE
IMMORTALS AFTER DARK

This series really starts with a novella, The Warlord Wants Forever. So, while the book you see above is "Book 1", if you really want to dig in and get to know the major players, I recommend you start with The Warlord Wants Forever.

Set mainly in Louisiana, the paranormal world is coming together as the Ascension draws close. Pitting good against evil, the magical world is at work bringing people together before war breaks out.

I'm really summarizing there, but that's the general idea. Each book follows two people who will ultimately end up in a happily ever after, but what sets this series apart from other series of its kind is the flawless writing.

Kresley Cole can paint a picture like nobody's business. Her characters come to life, immersing the reader so thoroughly that you won't be satisfied until you're all caught up.

And, with 18 books in the series so far, you'll get to enjoy Ms. Cole's writing for a long time.

When you're done, you can move on to the next series I love!

J.R. WARD
THE BLACK DAGGER BROTHERHOOD

Vampires are living in New York, but they're not your average blood sucking villains! No, the Black Dagger Brotherhood is comprised of the manliest of men, all height, muscles, and black leather biker boots.

They're in town to save the city from a group of bad guys intent on destroying man kind, and the BDB are very good at their jobs.

This is the series that made me fall in love with paranormal romance. I love that it's not over the top paranormal, and that there's history behind the Brotherhood.

Each book sees one member of the BDB falling for their lady love, with a nice, happy ending, which I love.

There are 16 books in the series so far, but I love the first eight the most. Later on in the series she starts to explore some themes I didn't really want to read about, but you can check those out and see how you feel.

SHERRILYN KENYON
DARK HUNTER

This is one of those series you fall in love with because it has so much lore. Sherrilyn Kenyon hasn't just built a series, she's built an entire world full of mystery, magic, and history.

Vampires, Lycans, Were-Bears, you name it, it's in here!

You read each story and get a very pleasing happily ever after, but you also get to know the other characters, making it all the more exciting when you get to read their specific book.

I've got one word for you, Acheron.

You'll get it once you dig into this series, and trust me, you'll dig in. It's just that good.
