This post has been approved by my 8 year old, and that's a big deal in my house!
See, I have a child who doesn't like to read, which is horrifying to someone like me (who would fit perfectly into that episode of The Twilight Zone where the guy gets stuck with millions of books, and broken glasses...). I really wanted to write something he would enjoy, so I had to get inspiration from the books on his shelf that he at least flips through now and again. They have a few things in common: 1. Pictures on every page 2. Only a few lines of text on each page 3. They rhyme, which makes figuring out the rest of the words a little easier 4. Bright, Bold, Beautiful colors I took these 4 things, combined them with his favorite video game (Minecraft) and went to work. What happens when a little Minecraft dirt block tries to play with other blocks who think he's just not cool because he's made of dirt? You'll find out, hopefully in a week or so! This is a great book to read with your kids. It's funny, it rhymes, it has a load of pictures, and it's only around 35 pages, so they won't think it's a total chore. Also, it's book one, so there will definitely be more to come. See what I did there? :) Happy reading! Ty
